Seems like every time you try to inch forward in business or personal success, you encounter thousands of bogus strategies, tactics and empty promises. Levelator - Access to a nifty tool from Gigavox that automatically levels the voices on your mp3 recordings. Point and click simple and very, very free.

Total time from un-edited audio download to Podcast publishing here on the blog? 3 hours and 20 minutes. Actual hands on time is 1 hour and 45 minutes, the computer does the rest.

Episode 13? No. iT's a Slide Show!

Since it is January 31 and I'm feeling a little guilty about no new shows, thought something fresh will be a good way to end the month and start the next. A slide show and a DVD.

What you see above is a slide show of wonderful pictures shared by the community created for Think Two Products Ahead by Ben Mack. This playground is a free and open space for entrepreneurs, fans, mavens and moguls all in the business of being human.

What has that got to do with marketing and sales? Everything.

Sooner or later (hopefully sooner) most people in business learn that the one basic principle governing success is your ability to create, nurture and sustain relationships. End of story.

I know you've heard it all before, but have you listened? I know for a long time I heard but did not listen. I used to think everything was up to me. If I wanted it done right, I should do it myself. Hi Ho Silver Away! The Lone Ranger rides again.

Wrong.

Being a Lone Ranger (yes, my baby boomer self is revealed) is first and foremost a lonely place to be. It's also a dangerous place to live because you run the risk of believing your own B.S. and burying your true self in a hole.

By paying more attention to the shovel and the dirt than how far you're getting from the surface (sweet terra firma) you lose sight of any light shining over your shoulder.

The community at ThinkTwoProductsAhead.Ning.com is people. People with loves, passions, frailties, goals and dreams. People like you. People like me. My hope is you will see and feel the people.

As I reflect back on December of 2006, a key point supporting my own human experience was attending a tele-conference presented by Ben Mack as a Christmas gift for his mom, Morgann.

He called iT Courage Mom and told her, "I love you Mom". Ben still tells his Mom "I love you." and she smiles. In the experience both are transformed.

This experience touched me so deeply I cried and realized, I never am alone even when I'm by myself.

On the marketing front of the Courage Mom call, Ben placed Morgann in the center of the stage and she shared her own unique marketing knowledge and expertise.

From Ben's Mom I learned that to be successful in any endeavor, take action and ask for what you want from those who have the ability through their own experience to give you what you ask for, as you give freely through your own passion in the process.

Morgann tells the story of manifesting a semi truckload of food and taking the responsibility asked of her by another person to get that food to starving people on the other side of the world.

With no experience in accomplishing a task of this proportion, she sought those who could help and asked for what she wanted.

Result? Experienced people showed up, helped, and the food manifested on another continent and into the mouths of hungry people.

Action, asking and being passionate in the giving process. Is this a formula for marketing success? Yes. But don't take my word for it. I may be lying.
